  1. I found out from an older post by MNTNedge about a fuse that is powered with the start button. I used fuse #23 for my radar detector and GPS. The radar detector works fine, however the GPS shuts down when the car is turned off and reboots each time the engine is restarted. I want to power it from a non switched source. I have been told that the spares are non switched and tried fuse #5 that is a 20 amp spare circuit. It had a 20 amp fuse in it but no power, key either on or off, no power.

Are there other fuses in the cabin fuse panel that are not turned on and off by the start button that I can piggy back my GPS to?

  2. The owners manual gives instructions for adjusting the vertical aim, but no mention of the horizontal aim.

My right light illuminates the right shoulder leaving the center of the road darker.

I'm not too much interested in seeing whats in the ditch.

How can I adjust the horizontal aim?

  3. I recently had the TPMS warning pop up, I reset it but the tire icon stayed on for a while then went out. This happened twice in the last 4000 miles.

During this time I had a flat and the system worked fine indicating a loss of tire pressure. Went to America's Tire in Ca to get the tire fixed. They used a device to check the TPMS monitors and said they all were OK. Its been a couple weeks since we returned home and the TPMS warning has not come back. Vehicle is a 2009 Edge SEL.

  4. I have a 2009 Edge with 3 wire rear brake/signal/tail light sockets.

I am trying to replace the factory bulbs with LED's.

I am wearing out the wiring trying to installing the resistors across the proper wires.

What is the right/proper way to connect the resistors?

I have 50W 6RJ resistors, installed in line with the flash wire on the front and back.

When I turn the key to ACC the blink is normal. The blink goes to rapid flash when the engine is running.

    HELP!

  6. I noticed today that the spoiler on my 16 Sport (white platinum) has no pearl at all in it. It's flat white and the white doesn't even match that well (I know that can be because it's a plastic piece).

Can anyone else take a look at their spoiler and tell me if it has the pearl top coat white platinum should have?

I stopped in the dealer but they only had Oxford White models there :(

  7. I put 4 Scorpion Verde All Season Plus on my 2009 in April. These replaced 4 Scorpion Verde All Season which developed a whump whump noise after 55K miles. Got a discount on new ones due to pro rated tread ware. I have 10,300 + on these now and so far they are great. Fuel economy increase is due to driving style. Got 25 MPG on one leg of a trip from Ft. Worth to Denver recently. My edge has 127,300 miles on it now. :)

  8. post-6657-0-64539800-1415392828_thumb.jpgpost-6657-0-74055700-1415392817_thumb.jpgpost-6657-0-15586500-1415392811_thumb.jpgI made a pattern of the dash back to the dash seam on the drivers side and cut a black fabric for the dash.

Cut out holes for the defroster and headlight sensor from the pattern. Tuck one edge between the windshield and the dash and work the sides down between the A pillar and dash.

Result = no more reflection off the dash in the windshield.

    Worked for me. :love_shower:

  9. I just checked mine on my 2009 FWD SEL. I have ⅜ inch of original factory pad left at 112,356 on the odometer. Rotors are smooth with no ridges.

I have never had any brake dust on the wheels. I check the pads and rotors at every tire rotation (DIY), usually 3000 to 4000 miles.

Possibly brake issues may be attributed to driving style. :love_shower:
