Hey guys - just got my 2010 Edge with NAV - only 1 week old and something weird happend. I was listening to SIRIUS - all was good. Stepped out of the truck - loaded a treadmill in the trunk and went on my way. SIRIUS started to go a little choppy so changed stations - sounded ok. Went back to original station and no sound at all. Went back to other working station - still no sound. Went to CD/HDD/USB,... no sound! Cranked volume to hear hissing of speakers,... no sound. The odd thing is that the SYNC voice prompts worked and the music visualizer was showing sound was being made however nothing could be heard. This lasted for the entire drive of 15+ minutes. I had to make a pit stop and had a feeling that as soon as the truck was turned off and then on again it would start working and so it did. Can anyone guess what could have caused this to happen? Has it happend to anyone else? I'm going to take my Edge in soon b/c the rear moonroof shade when opened gets caught at times and randomly slams open some time after causing an ear blowing shutter. This happend even b4 I took delivery of the car. I'll be sure to mention the no sound issue as well. Thanks in advance, As always - appreciate all the input Wil

Here in Ontario it can eaisily be a $0.30/litre price difference .3 x 60 litre tank (avg tank size) is $18 more per fill up which is something I do once every week. So personally speaking it is purchasing factor - one that keeps me away from many so called "premium" manufacturers.

Prices for the 2011 have not been released yet. I would think it would cost more and I wouldn't count out the 0% - other manufacturers have offered it on their '10 line up. All I've heard is a potential release date of summer '10 and that was just from reading it from another member of this forum. I just picked the 2010 whilst knowing about the awesomeness of the MyFord in the '11 but I decided to hold off as I don't care to deal with 1st yr bugs

I hate to be the cheapo on the board here - but I'm surprised no one mentioned the $ difference between regular fuel and premium as the SRX calls for the good stuff. I was impressed with the SRX but nothing beats MS Sync.

,... don't get me started on their stupid "safety" features. For example - you remote start the vehicle, car is running, walk to the car, open the door and voila - car turns off!!!! This is a safety feature and by the research I've done you might be able to disable that but you end up disabling other features. Also if you do disable it - once you put the key in the ignition it kills the engine anyways! So bottom line - if I remote start my car 10x's day - now b/c of my remote stater, it becomes 20x's. <rant over> I did get the dealer installed Ford remote starter - $400 b/c I was scared of the warranty thing - I'm not up for the fight. Haven't tested range yet but in my experiance with other aftermarket remote starters vs OEM remotes - aftermarket always wins with range. Also - stay away from Compustar if you don't like pressing and holding lock/unlock/remote start functions

Got it today - LOVE IT!!!! Already put 100km's on it :hyper: Got it with 9km's on it. Now I just have to get the flip key cut - as I figured - my sales guy said he couldn't cut it for me but said he would foot the bill if I get it cut elsewhere - super nice guy!

Thanks akirby - I got the warranty - but I was wrong on the specs of the warranty pricing - its 5yrs/150k which is fine - I do about 30k/yr so this will match up very nicely.

Hello all - I'm picking up my Edge tomorow and am still on the fence about the ESP. I was told I was given the "best" price for the Premium Care ($100.00 deductable) 7yrs/150,000 K which is $1995.00 + taxes. Is that a good price? I haven't had a chance to compare but the dealer has been pretty good with pricing so when they say it's their best - I'll take them at their word. Since I got the Limited AWD+NAV+Vista roof I really wanted the peace of mind not having to worry about any costly repairs in the near future as the Edge will be a keeper for me. I've looked at the covered components and couldn't find much about what's covered RE the Vista roof - can anyone shed any light on this? How does the plan work - is it really as simple as bringing in your car and if it's covered it's fixed for free - no hassles??? I find rarely with dealer's/extended warrenties it usually isn't that simple. That being said I've never owned a Ford and have zero experience with Ford dealerships. Anyhow - opinions are really what I'm after - I've declined the "rust-proofing,leather protection,etc." Thanks in advance, wil

That's what I figured! It was only after I signed that I found out you could actually search dealer inventories online. Had I known I would have walked into the right dealership and struck a deal,.... "I'll take that one!" Oh well - lesson learned! I really don't like Mizicke5273 's dealer experiance though - the minute I feel I'm being lied to I would want out of the deal and it seems he was. I got a good enough deal on mine though but there were a couple things I wasn't happy about. At the last minute - somehow the remote starter fell out of the deal and I had to pay for that out of pocket - not too impressed by that. In the moment I just said "meh" I'll just pay. So I can sympathize with Mizicke5273. Anyhow - we'll see if my Edge arrives on time.

Good job on the NAV - let me know know you like it. Just wondering - I'll potentially be in the same situation. I've placed my order and have been told mid feb b/c one is coming "on the truck" - whatever that means. If it is delayed any longer I'm just going to have to walk away from the deal as I have found 3 dealers somewhat local that have the car sitting on the log collecting dust. My dealer didn't even mention doing a trade and my bill of sale doesn't even have a VIN # on it so I'm thinking getting my deposit back will be easy. Are you in Ontario - more specifically Toronto/Mississauga area?

I got mine for $42,900 on the road taxes in. 2010 Edge Limited AWD 20 inch wheels Nav Vista Roof Rubbers I got $3000.00 for my trade in.

Peet - you read my mind. Ofcourse I'd like to do more than that. I haven't taken delivery of my Edge but I'm doing research on things I'd like to change about it. I came across this unit on ebay - has anyone used it or heard of it yet?? Reading the description it seems you could add a backup camera without butchering the ribbon - good call - I wouldn't want to try that either! Hello all - Just purchased my 2010 Ford Edge. V6 AWD + Navi + Vista Roof + 20's + Remote Start. I'm very excited - delivery date is scheduled for Mid February. I'm new to Ford and am a bit of a skeptic but so far all I hear are positives so I took the plunge and got the Edge. Technology wise - hands down the best out there with the Sync and I hear the NAV is pretty awesome. Does anyone have any tips for new owner's? For those who have purchased the "flip key" was it difficult to program? Would you recommend it or did you have any problems with it? as this is something that I plan on getting right away. Thanks Wil
