morningmist
Hello All, My white left reverse light (when I put the vehicle on reverse) seems to have burnt out on my 2010 Ford Edge SEL. The right one works ok. I'm a newbie, should I bring this to my dealer to change, or can I do this myself? Is it difficult to do? Any special screwdrivers I need for this? I see two screws, but usually isn't there 4 screws? Would this type of thing be covered under my 5 year warranty? What type of light do I need to buy? Any help is deeply appreciated. (sorry for the newbie question!) Edited May 27, 2012 by morningmist
Platinum White
Put rear hatch up. You should see a black part of the tail light assembly with 2 screws. Remove the screws and pull the tail light assembly out providing access to the bulb sockets. Replace the burned out bulb. morningmist
Ok thanks so much for the quick reply! Are lightbulb replacements normally standard part of Ford's 5 year warranty? Typically, where do I buy that lightbulb ? Is there a particular model # and brand (i.e. sylvania ?) morningmist
Nevrmind, I got it!! It's the sylvania longlife # 921 and it worked great. I went on the sylvania website at: http://www.sylvania....es/lrgmain.aspx and chose the vehicle make, year, etc etc and it shows me all the available bulbs they offer. The light is now replaced and works perfectly! It took less than 5 minutes! Edited May 28, 2012 by morningmist
