jerseyblood Posted June 13, 2012 Report Share Posted June 13, 2012 So I went to pull off the remaining chrome trim over the headlights and first I noticed it was an odd torx screw. It looked the same as a torx screw but had a prong in the middle of it. I went to my Ford dealership and they had a special tool that took them off. Basically it had a hole in the middle of it which allow it to fit over the prong. Anyway, after you take the two screws off, the chrome piece appeared to be attached at the far end and underneath the fender. Does anyone know how I get these off? c_bova Posted June 13, 2012 Report Share Posted June 13, 2012 you have to take the bumper off to get to it because then you have to take the head light out since that's what it is attached to. It's not hard to do, just takes a little time and patience. Also those are called security torx, and you can get the bits at just about any hardware store.
