Fuel consumption during recent road trip

You can get better than your 25.57 mpg if you put more than 35 psi in your tires (234 kpa). The 18 inch tires have held up very well for me and I get advertised mpg or better with 40 psi (276 kpa). So far that is the only factor that I have seen greatly affect fuel consumption. Safety of this, and tire warranty affects must be determined by the owner / driver. I have 9800 miles on my Edge.

I am new to the forum, and also a new owner of a 2013 Edge Limited Ecoboost.

I am having terrible mileage and now have 4000km on the Edge (aka guzzler). Sticker says 6.6L /100km (HW), and 9.9L/100km (city). Well I am getting 11.9L/100km (HW) and 17.5 L/100km (city). Gulp. Dealers (x2) wont look at it until after 18000km as per Ford policy. What the hell!!

Trust me, it is not driven hard. I am so easy on this Guzzler. I drive it like an old lady.

My Mustang GT is driven hard, and I get 11.1L/100km combined!

Something is very wrong.

I feel that I have made a VERY bad mistake to buy this thing, to the point if I could return it, I would.

BTW. The sales guy thought I was kidding about the mileage.
