silverknight
I'm getting a brake rattle noise, but only the first few times the brakes are applied after the car sits for a while. I would think that if something were loose, that I would always hear it. Any ideas before a waste a day at the dealership?
guerro
If the dealer cannot replicate the issue they will tell you there is nothing wrong. I am dealing with a similar issue with my dealer who has told me there is nothing wrong since it doesn't happen when they have the car. martunes
My brakes make a groaning noise just before coming to a full stop, when they're cold. I haven't addressed it with the dealer for the reason that Guerro mentions.
JOEHIO
My wife's '09 MKS had a groaning sound when stopping, too. Took it to our dealership, and there were 2 seperate TSB's for the front and rear, I don't know what the numbers are, but they put new pads and rotors on the front, and for the rear, new pads and cut the rotors. This was done at NO COST to us, and the car had almost 46,000 miles on it at that time. No more groaning, I'm now a happy camper. Possibly there are tsb's out for the Edge, too.
