AC Dash Air Vents...Cant aim at face.. Alternatives?

Neither of the driver side Dash A/C cents come anywhere close to aiming at the drivers face.. The Inner and outer vents both shoot air at best to the shoulder area...and even then

I must lean over to feel it.. The air flow is weaker than ever other car Ive had in the past but I could live with that if I could just aim them at my face.. especially on hot days..

 

The ones in my 2007 are the standard vents for that model year.. horizontal slots with up and down adjustment.. Ive heard later model years had vertical slots that had better aim and

the ability to close them off entirely.. Ive taken the dash assembly off and can see how easy they would be to replace.. Anyone know where I can get these 'same size' verticals ? and

do they allow better aim ? Dont want to pay top dollar for them from a dealer if possible but will if I have too.... thought maybe there was an aftermarket replacement perhaps ?

And I wish that the center vents in my MKX would blow more toward the center of the car.

You can replace them with the '09-'10 vents which work better horizontally, but not as well vertically.
