NickSport11 Posted September 17, 2013 Report Share Posted September 17, 2013 Hi everyone, My first post here. Have had the edge sport for 2 months now. So far I've been pretty happy. Love the looks. My question is why is my Sync saying I must go to the dealer to complete the upgrade? I got the USB from Ford. Followed the instructions. And after about 1 min of being plugged in it says must go to dealer for the upgrade followed by installation complete... I have a 2011 with my ford touch Any info would be great. MrHappy Posted September 18, 2013 Report Share Posted September 18, 2013 The date of your APIM is probably similar to ours which required a dealer visit for a previous update. The most recent one was applied via USB without issue so yours is likely more than 1 version behind. It should be free just call ahead and if you have NAV be sure they have an updated NAV SD Card in stock before getting there or your NAV won't work after (if it's not the most current version, A4 maybe?)
