NFilipczak
Just got my 2008 Edge Limited a week ago. My wife and I took it for a decent trip this weekend. It was 175 miles each way so we got to spend a few non stop hours shaking it out. Love almost everything. Ride was rock solid and quiet. It had a lot of get up and go when needed. Took a couple tries getting our ipod to work with sync but once set up it was great. However, we found the front seats less than comfortable. My wife especially. She was literally in pain (In the back) whether she was the driver or the passenger. I was less affected but still had a bit of discomfort as the lower part of the seat back seems to be pushing you forward. Tried all kinds of seat positions with the lumbar support turned up and turned down but still couldn't get comfy. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions? We have a '97 Expedition and a '98 Explorer. Both of those are great on the comfort scale so I know its not some general Ford nuiance. Thanks for any help. ARBO
We love the comfort in our SEL. I don't know if they're differant seats. We went from the concrete seats in our old C-240 Benz and these feel great. Also a bit more comfy than my 06 Stang. We love the ride. NFilipczak
Thanks for the input. I'm still curious to see if anyone else has this issue. If not maybe we just need a chiropractor. Thanks.
jeffreybehr
N, had you SEARCHed, you would ave found this http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?sho...;hl=front+seats thread. Raising the front of the seat sure helped in mine, and I think I'll add a couple more washers.
NFilipczak
Jeff, Thanks for the link. Some good points. Glad to see most people are very happy with the comfort level. Maybe it is just an adjustment phase. Sure hope so. Love everything else!
powerboatr
my husband and I think our seats are great, he is very tall and the seat back headrest actually supports his neck, and the lower lumbar bag helps him alot, he has a bad back and he just raves at how comfortable teh seats are.
