zackp
this has been going on for some time now. Started out of nowhere. 2013 Edge SEL AWD, with 49,000 miles, 3.5 L engine. The high pitch engine noise can be heard at low speed, 40-50 mph. Very loud, like a plane taking off, at higher speed, 70-80 mph. It is constant no matter whether I push the gas or not. But it is louder when foot is off the gas. Here is link to the sound: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FytNmN5IYQw Please let me know if you know what might be wrong. Car drives great. No vibration or anything. Used to be a very quiet ride. But this noise is annoying! Maintenance on schedule every time. Thanks! carguy75
Not sure, but it could be a bad wheel bearing. I would start with that first and then the axle shaft and so forth. Best solution is to take it to a mechanic and let them sort it out or give you a possible clear idea of what the problem is.
