Melltimejr
So, I ordered a 2016 2.0L AWD Titanium Edge. My Edge was built on 2/1 and just arrived at the dealership today, over a month later, after an initial ETA of 2/5-2/11. I stressed to my dealer that I needed a reason for the delay, and in an email today he told me this: Our Ford rep got back with us about the delay now that we have the vehicle on our lot. About 400 Edge AWD Titnaium 2.0L's were held at Oakville assembly for a transmission rotating clutch hub assembly inspection. The inspection was performed, and everything is per Ford specifications. Anyone heard of this? How concerned should I be, if at all? Thanks!
akirby
It means they probably had either an assembly line problem or a bad batch of parts. Nothing to worry about - if there was a problem they would have fixed it.
Melltimejr
Sounds good, thanks!
akirby
In fact yours has probably been inspected much more closely than other Edges.
