JustinAmaker
On my 2014 Ford Edge, I have a touch sensitive air conditioner controller as pictured above. The air conditioner controller started pushing the buttons on its own and you can hear the buttons ding as they are pushed. For example, if I try to turn up the fan speed, it will automatically reduce the fan speed like I pushed the button to do it. Or, if I just turn off the climate altogether, it will come right back on like I pushed the button to do that. I tried exercising the buttons thinking there could have been something stuck inside of the button but that wasn't the case. I also tried wiping the buttons and the screen with a cloth and that didn't seem to solve the problem either. I also tried master resetting the whole Sync system, with no luck. I turned off the button dings so that kinda solved that end of the problem, but the buttons are still being pushed on their own. Any ideas? enigma-2
Try running a HVAC self test and see if it throws any codes. I posted a link in a different post on the procedure http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/21259-actuator-issues/?fromsearch=
