TRF Posted February 9, 2019 Report Share Posted February 9, 2019 The rear wiper on my 2015 Edge SEL is acting strangely. When I start the car the rear wiper motor comes on and cannot be turned off, also, the rear arm is not moving, just the motor humming. Gradually the hum gets very loud and the interior rear hatch gets hot. Again, I cannot shut the motor off with the button on the end of the wiper switch. Front wipers appear to work fine. I pulled the fuse so the humming has stopped, but my rear wiper doesn't work of course. I've read other topics about Edge wipers, but haven't seen this one. Dealer wants to charge $159 to diagnose... won't be doing that. Any help greatly appreciated. I'm not a mechanic but am proficient when I know the fix. Thanks!
