Backup camera stays on

New used owner.  Backup working fine until yesterday.  Now wants to stay on after moving selector from R to NDS. Resets if I move back to Park first.

 

 Common?  Fix?

Have you actually taken it up to speed when putting it back in drive?  There is a delay setting for the camera that is speed related.  Did that get turned on?

 

Although you didn't specify what year you have?

Thanks for your response.  2017.

No, did not have it up to much more than parking lot speed, drove through a gas station, then stopped and reset with Park then Drive.  Didnt have any delay previously.

If the setting isn't the issue then make sure you update SYNC to the latest available or if its under warranty go to the dealer have it done.

Thanks for the info folks!  Yeah, looks like it goes off after rolling forward for a few.  Accustomed to my wife's car in which the camera is off immediately.

I will look into the Sync update regardless!
