TMax
2013 SEL, Push button Start, Ford factory remote start, No mods. Last week car would not start for wife. Cleaned battery terminals and wa-la it started until the next day it would not start again. Replaced battery with new 65 size. Now it will not even crank over. Gives messages=START SYSTEM FAULT, LOW OIL PRESSURE, ABS ERROR, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH..... Brake pedal is hard. Push button only activates accessory. Radio, lights and all accessories work, just wont crank. Cannot shift out of park even with accessory mode "on". Looked at the Battery Fuse Terminal/Circuit Breaker. Both sides ohmed out with connectivity. Voltage is above 13v at battery. Power is reaching the starter because I used an insulated screw driver to short leads on starter solenoid. Starter cranks just fine but engine fails to start even when the hood button is pushed down to satisfy the safety switch. Stumped at what this could be. This car sat about 12 hours inside the garage with the battery unhooked until I could get to the store and get a new battery. This vehicle ran perfectly before this issue with the battery replacement. Help???? Edited May 23, 2020 by TMax
Joe L
I have the exact same issue today after replacing my battery. Have you resolved your issue? If so, please kindly post your solution.
