To many "Discussion" topics!

So I am new to this forum and I must say it is difficult to navigate through all the information.

Currently there are the following "Discussion" areas which all pretty much overlap:

Ford Edge & Lincoln MKX Discussion

Ford Edge Sport Forum

2008 Edge & MKX Forum

2009 Edge & MKX Forum

Plus in addition the other specific areas for the technical forums.

In all there are just to many areas to look through.

As such I suggest the following;

1. Create a Generation 1 discussion. The 2008 and 2009 models are so close. Perhaps only a single "sticky" thread can explain the differences between those model years. So, basically combine the following four forums into a single one.

Ford Edge & Lincoln MKX Discussion

Ford Edge Sport Forum

2008 Edge & MKX Forum

2009 Edge & MKX Forum

2. Create a Generation 2 discussion. This would capture the next generation of the Edge threads (pics, options, "What I would like", etc).

3. We need a projects section. It is nice to have a "Accessories and Modifications" discussion group, but we should have a place that only details how to make the modifications. This should not be a real discussion group, just instructions on how to fix, repair and/or modify your edge.

4. Most of the main areas in the Techincal forums should be sub-categories in the Generation 1 and 2 discussions. Perhaps make a drop-down box that replaces "Topic Description" with certain categories. This would make it easier to find threads. An example would be finding one for Engine Issues with a Generation 1 Edge.

Just go up to the top (3rd bar) and click on View New Posts.

I know you can use the "View New Posts" option (along with the search). It still doesn't solve the problem of making it harder for people to decide where to start a new topic. Also if the "search" term they use is not exactly the same as how someone else wrote something about it is possible related topics won't be found.
