Can you remove the volume and tune knob from the radio panel?

Recommended Posts

Looking at vinyl wrapping my center radio/climate control panel. I believe the exact panel part is FT4T-18E245-BK, with a separate volume and tune knob.  I'm wondering if there is a way to remove these knobs to make the wrapping process a little less cumbersome in that section?  Do they simply just pop off or is there a process/procedure to remove them ""correctly"?

Seems logical that the knob just pressed on, but I'm not sure with this panel. If I were you, I'd pop the consul cover off the dash and remove the screws on the cover on the back.

Here's a link to an ebay auction showing the back of the consul part. (Pix 2 of 8). (You will probably remove the cover to wrap anyway.)
