Relli101
I have the a 2017 2.0 with a blown engine due to the usual issue. Has anyone swapped a 2020 2.0 into a 2017. The 2020 is supposed to have the issue corrected and the used 2020 motors are about half the price in my area.
edjunior
Welcome Relli101. So, for those of us who are still fairly new to the Edge, and I guess more specifically the 2.0 Edge, what is "the usual issue"?
Relli101
Sorry, the usual issue is coolant intrusion into the cylinders that blows the motor. Ford knows about the issue. There's a tsb, but they won't do anything to help even a loyal customer like myself who has owned 10 ford's over the last 30 yrs. It was a design "improvement" for 2017 that was fixed 2 yrs later.
