Not sure if your MKX has chrome overlays on the mirrors or if they're molded on. I have 08AWD Edge, chrome on mirror have 5 clip behind it that come off with a flat screw driver. Do not try just pulling on them they will snap !!! paid $80cdn for pair..I all so just had the chrome around my fog lights replaced for same reason bubbling it was covered under warrn'..
