  1. I installed a kit this weekend and I am having too much light scattering. I realize that the housings were not made for these bulbs, as the light source is not in the same spot as the stock bulbs, but wanted to give them a whirl. Also having some flickering issues. Prob not going to keep them. I can fix the flicker, but the light pattern is not too impressive.
  2. I just use deionized water and NEVER hand dry. The more you touch, the more you scratch!
  3. If you are not allowing your tire shine to completely soak in (hour or two) then before driving, wipe your tires with a spare, but clean, rag.
  4. STRONGLY AGREE. "Spiderweb/swirl scratches" can be avoided by the 2 bucket thing and, if possible, a spot free rinse. I wash and rinse with de-ionized water and if a customer wants it dry, I break out the leaf blower (with a foam intake filter). The less you actually touch your paint, the better it will look! Happy detailing!
  5. Ditto! Most ppl just let their cars go..I've detailed cars that a year old that look worse that the '91 Skylark with 3 hubcaps. It's nice to hear someone say that it looks better than the day they bought it!! Like this guy...
  6. Don't forget about DJ Nap...I've owned a detailing biz here in FL for 9 1/2 years and have been a forum member for a long time now. PleaseWashMyCar.com!
  7. as a pro detailer as well, I agree w/ Can...if your paint is feeling rough, definitely do the clay process..I clayed/polished/waxed this '08 Rolls Phantom. GREAT results.
  8. My '07 is bubbling on the front bumper....where it meets the bottom of the grille..
  9. My '07 has recently started to squeak bad, I assumed it was the glass against rubber noise, but this makes more sense. I'll take a peek tomorrow. Thanks!
  10. very nice. same ride here, but with 48000 miles. Way to keep em down Fan!
  11. Our husky liners cover all that. Can't beat 'em!
  12. :stop: Oh, my friend, I had the same exact problem on our '07 Edge @ 42K miles. Your master cylinder is leaking and the fluid is leaking into your brake booster. I have the factory service manual here..http://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.php/90135123-service-manual-2007-2008-2009-ford-edge. It was a $750 repair to replace BOTH the master cylinder and booster. I'm beginning to see more and more of it happening, hopefully leading to a recall.
  13. If you need a detail in Jax, look me up @ www.pleasewashmycar.com! Great job BTW!
  14. the latest reason was that it had shorted itself out
  15. I live in FL and have a BAMR...no probs.
  16. our ' batt has died 3 times in a 2 year span..
  17. Agreed. I've owned a detailing biz for 10 years and I use Meguiar's products. I did this '01 BMW w/ Meguiar's Clay Bar, Polish and Wax
  18. We have a similar issue, the foam pad on the opposite side has began to come off...around $800 for a new shade (incl labor)
  19. I've owned a detailing biz for a decade and I've seen some mucked up screens..I use spot-free water and a microfiber cloth to clean NAV screens...and I never put any kind of "protectant" on it. Hope all works out!
  20. Do bumps/rough roads affect it? Sounds like a loose wire, most likely at the enclosure.
