xshenanigansx Posted February 13, 2009 Report Share Posted February 13, 2009 Hey guys! im new here. I bought a Brand new 08' MKX and after 20,000km's and regular servicing im having problems! When i drive out on the highway approx 100km/h I hear this loud Thumping noise coming from (what sounds to be) my center console. The noise keeps on thumping even when i slow down. I took to to Ford and they drove it around and never heard this noise! The thumping only happens sometimes but when it does it really loud and it sounds like it needs attention right away. Well I have 08 AWD Edge had the same problem.If yours is an AWD have them check your drive shaft hangers.The isolator bear went after 11000km I was told the there was abad batch between dec07 to mar08 it was covered they replaced drive shaft an hangers.You should find out your car birthday....
