Kwmck Posted January 26 Report Share Posted January 26 2012 Edge LTD AWD 3.2L 133000km - CCP 'AUTO' mode intermitantly will shut down (OFF) and blower speed increases to High with constant "button press feedback" beep sound. This happens in either of "Dual" control On or Off. Pressing Up (increase) heat selection will stop the feedback sound and Auto can then be reselected. I had my Ford Dealer technician use a heat gun to the rear of the CCP unit to possibly press the contacts within. The process seemed to eliminate the problem for about a month, and now it is back. beep, beep, beep. My question is did we need a bit more heat to soften up glue material inside or that is the EOL for this unit and it needs to be replaced. If replacement, what are my options.
