That is where you would place your key fob if the battery was dead, or for some other reason it wasn't detected in the cabin (try to start and it says "no key detected"). GTSnake Posted May 18 Report Share Posted May 18 Comes in very handy when your fob battery dies and you don't have a new battery. You put your fob on top so you can start the car and get home.
