doubleg2582
Does the 2016 edge sel have a tpms reset button? I changed the sensors and have been trying too activate them but the display shows the left front tire has 0 tire pressure and the other 3 tires have dashes next to them. I disconnected the battery and now the left front has the same dashes but the tire is orange. It has the correct tire pressure. Only thing i can think is a possible issure with the sensor. I want to rule everything else out before i change the sensor again. Any imput would be greatly appreciated.
1004ron
Welcome. What sensors did you buy and from who/where? If the sensors are good the car will auto relearn the new sensor ID's. There is a procedure to put the vehicle inn relearn mode and use a cheap trigger devices to activate each sensor as needed.

lildisco
I had to buy the trigger tool & a Bluetooth Adapter with FORScan to get our 2016 to work early on. People said that they just swapped theirs & the car would learn the new sensors & locations. Swapping on our winters & after driving for over an hour, they still wouldn't learn. Made an appointment for a tire place & magically they started reporting on the way there. The next spring when installing the summer wheels, I used the trigger tool & FORScan & haven't had any issues since.
1004ron
I also prefer to trigger them with the car set to relearn rather than wait for them to auto-relearn. Ford TPMS Reset Tool Tire Pressure Sensor Training Activation Transmitter
doubleg2582
Not sure why my text didnt appear with my picture. I purchased the senors from Amazon. I purchased the same sensors a few months earlier for my F150 and had no trouble relearning them. They were preprogrammed and came with a good review. I also purchased the tool to activate the sensors during the relearn process. We recent took a 800 mile toadtrip, the tpms light was on the entire time. We checked all the tire pressures before our trip to be safe. If i dont find a solution to the problem before the weekend, i plan to swap the tires from left to right to see if the problem switches sides. If so then i apparently have a few bad sensors. I know there are several ways to activate the relearn process without a scanner, i chose to use the process that requires you to press the hazard button 3 times. 1004ron
Buying these sensors from Amazon or eBay is hit and miss - sometimes you get lucky. Never heard of multiple ways to set it to learn mode - could you describe the method you used with the hazard button. omar302
The 2016 Edge can relearn new sensors without any procedure, just drive for a few minutes with some speed, at least my 2016 did so. What sensors did you exactly get? What model year is your F-150? They don't always use the same sensors.
doubleg2582
I searched youtube for the video to post on how to enable the learn mode using the emergency flasher but cant find it now. Anyway, all you have to do is turn the hazard lights on/off 3 times and it will do the same thing as pressing the brake pedal and turning the ignition on/off method. This worked on my 2010 F150 also. For clarification---the sensor part numbers are different for my f150 and edge. I had good luck with the sensors on my f150, so i purchased the same brand (different part #) for my edge. I have emailed the manufactuers website explaining the trouble i'm having in hope they can give me some suggestions on things to try or replace the sensors.

When installed 20" wheels from a 2016 Edge Titanium my Edge automatically learned the sensors. Also when I installed the new ones from eBay it did the same.
