Vance correa
My power steering belt snapped. So I took the power steering belt off, and the serpentine belt, tried to replace the powersteering belt but that’s the hard part could’nt do it, I put the old serpentine belt back on, but then I came across an issue. When then to replace the powersteering belt i cranked the crankshaft counter cloxkwise a little until I heard it crank 3 times then after putting the serpentine belt back on I tried to start the car but it wouldn’t turn. I believe the car went into anti theft system mode. I tried hard resetting it by disconnecting the battery and trying the key fob but all of those did not work . 1004ron
Turning it counter-clock most likely caused it to jump valve timing - does it turn clockwise using a wrench? I expect you'll need to pull the timing covers and re-time the cams.
