Deanf
I have a 2014 ford edge sel with the 4” display. I removed the whole radio and climate control and replaced it with an android touch screen. I’m trying to get the back up camera working. The android radio came with a plug that connects to one of the plugs in the dash, that outputs to an rca plug, which plugs into the new radio. I have a video signal when I put it in reverse but it’s white static. I’m guessing it’s because I need to send 12v to the camera. Does anyone know which wire is the power wire for the cam? Might as well also ask which one is the ground as well. any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA Dean
enigma-2
Found this on the web. "The 2014 Ford Edge has an OEM camera system that uses a dedicated Local Interconnect Network (LIN) to communicate with the Body Control Module (BCM) and a shielded video signal to the Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM). Interfacing with this proprietary system using a generic aftermarket camera may be difficult and might require specialized adapters or professional installation." You may be better off using an aftermarket camera. •Red 12 volt power (from backup light wiring) •Black ground. •Yellow is video signal.
