oil smell when stopped?

So I have been experiencing hot or burnt oil smell when I come to a stop.  I have no leaks on the floor of my garage.  Looking closely all over the engine I dont see anything that is leaking that I would feel is burning.  The smell is more like a hot oil smell.  Would a plugged pvc valve cause this problem?  I never had this issue before I had a vvt seal completely blow out.  After replacing the seal it seems as if the oil smell has never gone away.  Other then this the engine runs great with no oil usage.   Any ideas or suggestions?
