Rick P
I purchased a can of CRC Intake Valve & Turbo Cleaner. It says to spray it in after the Mas Air Flow Sensor or into a vacuum line into the throttle body. Does anyone have a suggestion on which vacuum line I could use? Would it be better to just spray it into the air tube after the sensor? I used a bottle of Red Line Complete Fuel System Cleaner and that seemed to help with the hesitation, but I wanted to clean everything. I have a 2020 ST 2.7 with 35,000 miles on it. I replaced the trans fluid, PTU and RDU fluids at 30,000 miles. Car shifts great. Thanks for your help.
garycrist
Looks like good stuff with PEA. Also look for Top Tier fuel or Shell and Chevron to name a few They all have PEA too. A 20 oz bottle of Chevron Techron with a fill-up will also slow down the crud. As for oil check out Valvoline Protect and restore. I would like to know if it will melt one's plastic manifold too.

Yes, CRC Intake Valve & Turbo Cleaner is generally safe for plastic parts in the intake system , as it's designed for GDI/turbo engines and specifically states safety for turbos and intercoolers, but always follow instructions, avoid spraying directly on the MAF sensor, and change your oil soon after, as it's a fuel system cleaner, not an oil additive
STBEAST Posted yesterday at 06:06 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:06 AM Rick P, not sure if I would worry about cleaning the intake valves. That was an issue with early DFI motors but not so much anymore. I am spot on with garycrist. Run good fuel, 91 octane. You can't go wrong with top tier like Chevron or Shell. Chevron Techron is an amazing product and if you use it as recommended you will not have issues. I too agree with you 100% change the RDU/PTU/ATF at 30K and you are doing the best.
