makaveli3004
Noticed my oil pressure light would come on randomly at idle. It's not all the time but at least once a day. Noticed oil level was slightly low so I added half a quart to bring it in range. Fixed the issue but 2 weeks later same issue. Looked under car and I can see a very small leak. It appears to be coming from the oil pressure switch or the unit connected to the pulley or maybe both not entirely sure. I plan to change the oil pressure switch tomorrow when I do an oil change since it's 10k miles and due for one. Any thoughts or next steps. No other noticable issues and vehicle drive fine no shaking or noise from engine. Ordered Motorcraft SW8368 Switch 2013 Ford edge base model. 135k miles. Always run full synthetic with advanced 20k filter.
1004ron
What oil change interval have you been using? What specific oil and oil filter do you use? Another potential cause for oil loss is the PCV valve.
