MP3 Bluetooth Playback Eliminate Cell Phone Navigation?

Call me a dummy........but, I feel the only stupid question is one not asked...

 

If I use Bluetooth for MP3 player playback, does this eliminate the ability to use my Iphone on the navigation on screen?

The point be moot........the MP3 player with Bluetooth stated that it could not be played thru

the car stereo via BT.......

I believe that Sync requires the audio device to use Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) for communication. 

If your MP3 player is a basic version, the car's system may simply refuse to recognize it as a valid audio source.

 

One way around this is to interface with Sync via a FM transmitter plugged into your players headphone jack or through BT. Pick up the audio  on FM. 

 

$10 on Amazon,  not out a bd if it doesn’t work.

Only fly in that ointment is that we listen to the AB's while travelling.....an FM frequency not in use here

may have stations come and go as we traverse the territory.......

That could prove to be a distraction while driving.

I may have confused you. The FM adapter takes the music from your source and then you tune to a specific FM channel and the adapter plays to that channel. (Just another method to play audio via a wireless connection, to your radio.)
