MP3 Bluetooth Playback Eliminate Cell Phone Navigation?

I believe that Sync requires the audio device to use Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) for communication.

If your MP3 player is a basic version, the car's system may simply refuse to recognize it as a valid audio source.

One way around this is to interface with Sync via a FM transmitter plugged into your players headphone jack or through BT. Pick up the audio  on FM.

$10 on Amazon,  not out a bd if it doesn’t work.

I may have confused you. The FM adapter takes the music from your source and then you tune to a specific FM channel and the adapter plays to that channel. (Just another method to play audio via a wireless connection, to your radio.)

No, I understand what the device is and does. But, if your radio is tuned to the frequency of the adapter, will it not be interfered with if there is a local FM station on the same frequency?

The ad states:  "QUITE EASY USE - Insert the 3.5mm plug into your device just as you would a pair of headphones. Turn on the transmitter and set it to an FM frequency that's not in use in your area. "

While travelling, FM stations come and go.....
