Ronno6
Call me a dummy........but, I feel the only stupid question is one not asked... If I use Bluetooth for MP3 player playback, does this eliminate the ability to use my Iphone on the navigation on screen?
Ronno6
The point be moot........the MP3 player with Bluetooth stated that it could not be played thru the car stereo via BT....... So, NEVERMIND !!
enigma-2
I believe that Sync requires the audio device to use Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) for communication. If your MP3 player is a basic version, the car's system may simply refuse to recognize it as a valid audio source. One way around this is to interface with Sync via a FM transmitter plugged into your players headphone jack or through BT. Pick up the audio on FM. $10 on Amazon, not out a bd if it doesn’t work. https://a.co/d/0e0mcESE
Ronno6
I have considered that........

Ronno6
Only fly in that ointment is that we listen to the AB's while travelling.....an FM frequency not in use here may have stations come and go as we traverse the territory....... That could prove to be a distraction while driving.
enigma-2 Posted yesterday at 12:03 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 12:03 AM I may have confused you. The FM adapter takes the music from your source and then you tune to a specific FM channel and the adapter plays to that channel. (Just another method to play audio via a wireless connection, to your radio.)

But, if your radio is tuned to the frequency of the adapter, will it not be interfered with if there is a local FM station on the same frequency? The ad states: "QUITE EASY USE - Insert the 3.5mm plug into your device just as you would a pair of headphones. Turn on the transmitter and set it to an FM frequency that's not in use in your area. " While travelling, FM stations come and go..... Edited yesterday at 01:45 AM by Ronno6
enigma-2
While travelling, FM stations come and go..... Yes, but thats irrelevant as the transmitter will continue to overpower any FM signal. And if they do interfere, just returned.
Ronno6
The FM adapter can tune as low as 87.5mhz There is no FM station on that frequency. The lowest freq. for an FM station is 87.9. There are only 2 stations on that freq., both in California. Won't be a problem...... But I think an audio cable into USB will work.
