K Trejo
I have a 2016 Edge SEL with 245/60R18 tires. Just ordered Titan TC2323 SAE S class chains from eTrailer. Has anyone used these chains on an Edge with this size tire? Any clearance issues? I realize Ford doesn't recommend using these chains on this size tire but eTrailer is saying lots of Edge drivers use this combo with no problems. Samurai Edge
Did you research any information on snow chain usage on the Ford Edge before asking his question? Here are a coupe of answers: https://www.ford.com/support/how-tos/ownership/customers-ask-ford/should-i-use-tire-cables-or-chains-with-my-vehicle/ But, you live in Irvine, CA. so what type of conditions are you expecting in Southern Cali? K Trejo
Thanks Samurai, I have read all kinds of information on the issue. Im hoping to hear from someone who has first hand experience with using the Titan TC 2323 chains (or any other SAE chains) on the 2016 Edge with 245/60R18 tires. I've been told people have used them with no issues but this is all third party info from a retailer. Anyone have any first hand experience? I will be spending lots of time in the High Sierra's this winter and want to be prepared.
