BAMR shade material rubbed off?

Recommended Posts

I'll have to stand on the rear tire and look down from the top. I don't think the heat would have done it, although the temp in the sun right now, as I type, is 109.8. I agree that it is an odd shape for "flaking" material. It would be nearly impossible for someone to do that to the back side of that shade..so being covered under warranty should not be a problem. If they do give me a problem, well, they won't.

UPDATE :

The dealer sent an image to Ford's DI dept and they refused to correct. They told my Service Manager that it could have been caused by a chemical that was sprayed on the liner. C'mon, really? The only thing that has ever touched that liner in the past year and a half is water. Filtered, spot-free water at that. Why wouldn't the whole liner be affected if I was incorrectly cleaning it? The liner on the interior side feels water proof, like a backpack. The other side is felt. The Mrs. is NOT happy and will be on the phone w/ Ford tomorrow. $748 to replace....
