2010 Edge Radio Shuts Off Unexpectedly

Curious to see if anyone else has run into this with any year Edge. I just recently got a 2010 with the factory Sync radio. For some reason, the radio will shut off unexpectedly while driving. I don't hit any bumps or anything.. just smooth driving on the highway and it shuts off. It's happened to me 3 times and I've had the car for a month.

This has happened to me as well. It's happened 4 times! I can't reproduce it though. I've had my2010 Edge 6 months.

I've had this happen a few times over two years. Totally random, smooth driving, slow or fast it didn't seem to matter.

 

Chalk it up to the random computer or integrated circuit glitch. I work in IT and see it all the time. Simple devices behaving as though they are possessed lol.

This has happened to my 2009 For Edge SEL. Randomly the radio shuts off. It has only happened about 3 times in a year.

Same for me too... except mine asks if I want to run a status check or something like that.... has now done it 3 times in less than 2 months... I was wondering if this is a common thing &/or a recall type thing?

Mine did that untill I guess it got tired of asking. It said to press the "OK" button if I wanted the report. I found the button and pressed it but never heard or saw a report.
