I have the upgraded sound system with the sub. My question is : Will it make a noticeable difference if I just replace the factory sub with a good aftermarket one......or will I have to amp the new sub to make a difference ? If I need to amp it, can all wiring be done in the rear of the vehicle? I do not want to do this if it is too complicated as I simply do not have the time.

If you have a subwoofer then you have the "premium sound" this system uses an amplifier between the head unit and speakers. The speakers are definately a weak link in the system. If its Deep Bass you're looking for then replacing the sub with a higher quality speaker should get you what you want. For "snappier" bass you need to replace your factory 5x7 / 6x8 speakers with some 5 1/4 " midbass driver with seperate tweeters. I personally like this sub http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.c...tnumber=295-545
