If you want the highest quality sound and dont mind doing a little installing, get a set of 5.25" components so you can mount the tweeter in a better spot. baum Posted May 3, 2010 Report Share Posted May 3, 2010 Depends on the sound. I did 6 1/2" components up front with a 200 x 2 amp powering them. along with a 400 x 1 amp for 2 12" woofers. They are a component speaker in a coaxial format . you get the best of both worlds , quality of component and the ease of a coax install. MacLeod Posted May 6, 2010 Report Share Posted May 6, 2010 Pioneer has always seemed to make good speakers. Even though theyre primarily thought of as a head unit manufacturer, I always thought their speakers were their best part. Their line of SPL subwoofers are among the best in the world. In fact, as far as I know, Pioneer subs hold the world SPL record with a 180.3 I believe! Thats just insane!! So yeah, those Pioneers should work just fine.
