Just purchased a 2007 Edge and found the low beam lights way too dim. From the Stern Lighting web site I learned that the H11 low beam bulbs could be replaced with the much brighter H9 bulbs with just a minor modification to the H9 bulb mount.

All I can say is that the difference is like day and night.

I have also ordered a pair of 9011 bulbs. These are about 50% brighter than the OEM 9005 bulbs and do not draw any more current. I'll report back on how they work in this application when they are installed.

Both are far superior to HID bulbs being placed in the Ford supplied headlight unit since the H9 and 9011 bulbs focus perfectly in the OEM headlight unit, the HID light bulbs are just not designed to work properly in these units.
