tnugs Posted March 12, 2009 Report Share Posted March 12, 2009 Just wanted to post some before and after pics of my H&R springs. They lowered it down ever so slightly, which i'm happy with. I am a bit past the age of wanting my vehicle "slammed" The ride is great, very little nose dive on breaking. Definitely stiffer, but not "jarring" by any means. Top heavy feeling greatly reduced. Blue Oval Posted March 13, 2009 Report Share Posted March 13, 2009 It's going to make it even harder to check for the PTU leaks you may or may not develop, unless you have a floor jack. Don't want to scare you or jinx you but keep a watchful eye on this issue. Other than that nice pics as I have the same Edge, do yourself a favor and put on the color matched door moldings. I don't know when your springs were installed in relation to this pic, but at first, you notice a slight drop, it may drop another half inch depending on the spring type. You want a further drop, remove the spring isolators.....the spring isolators are the rubber rings the spring sits on. removal of the isolators will result in a slight noisier ride. No visible leakes on the floor as the fluid drips and simply burns off the hot exhaust pipe. If you live in an area that lays down salt and you have the 18" chrome clad's, prepare to have them replaced as well. Other than that not a bad car. I miss my SHO. can't wait for the 2010. Eco Boost! You should end with about an inch & a half drop up front. You really don't want to go any lower or you will be dragging the front facia over tall parking lot curbs.
