My Edge belt starts squealing anytime it rains. I don't think it is the serpentine belt, i think it is the other belt. I will get it looked at when i take it in for its first service. Right now, it has 4,700 miles on

i have a Beltronics unit in my Sport Trac and a Cobra unit in my Edge. I need em, as many times as I have to drive to Corpus Christi and back, and there is always a Texas state trooper sitting on the side of the freeway halfway there shooting radar.

My other car is my 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

They probably don't have them on the front "A" pillars due to the side curtain airbags. I popped one of the pillar interior mouldings off to run a power wire to my radar detector, and there is a bunch of airbag stuff in the pillar.

Loved the low level flying, but now the car is covered with bug squeezings.

Left this morning and drove to Corpus Christi TX. 165 miles, set the cruise control at 75 almost the whole way. lots of fog, nobody on the road. Car is nice on the freeway. Came back late afternoon. Got in a caravan behind a BMW 750 and Land Rover going 95-100 almost the whole way back. I was amazed at how calm and well behaved the Edge is at that speed. My 05 Escape was scary at over 85mph. Drove almost 150 miles at those speeds. Made is down and back on 1 tank of gas, with some to spare. MPG for the tank of gas was 19.28. Not bad for flying. i think we passed Santa Claus.

Do a web search. there are companies that make a module you plug into to the NAV unit that does asway with the disclaimer and can unlock other features. I saw one on Spike TV show a few months ago where they were overriding a Toyota NAV unit

The only thing i do like are the door handles and key holes and the center exit dual exhaust.

WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE IT SOMETHING IS TYPED IN ALL CAPS? YOU CAN STILL UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE ASKING. FOR SOME OF US, IT IS A LOT EASIER TO READ CAPITAL LETTERS THAN LOWER CASE LETTERS.

When i got my Edge on July 13, 2007, it had 600 miles on it as it was a dealer trade. Now it only has 1,400 miles on it. I keep smelling coolant when i walk in front of the car after parking it in the garage. so today, i finally opened the hood. (What a nice engine area.) The coolant resevior is half way between the marks on it. But there is a wet film all over the engine area, it is watery with a little oil of some type. The car has not overheated, but i am going to call the dealer Monday about it.

i have the same issue with my 07 Explorer Sport Trac. I think alot has to do with the dash color. Both vehicles have the light brown interior. My 05 Escape was dark gray inside and did not suffer this issue. I drove an 08 Escape with light brown interior, same glare issue.

My trip computer says 17.9 MPG, but when you divide the miles driven by actual number of gallons to fill up, it comes to 14.2 MPG. Computer is worthless.

As a single man (Maybe older than most Edge Buyers - 45) i love the Edge. I finally had a chance today to do a full throttle accel from a stop light against a youngster in his Mustang. It was kinda of funny seeing him gettting left in the dust. I got to 45 and let off. he blasted past me...right into the cops radar trap. My other vehicle is a 07 Explorer Sport Trac. I use it for trips to the coast every couple of weeks. Only had it for about 10 weeks, already have 5,500 miles on it. Have the Edge for not a month, i put only 600 miles on it - it had 600 miles on when i got it.

I thought the 3 years of Sirius was only on Mercury/Lincolns. On the Fords it is 6 months

I too cannot understand their colors, or how far off the colors in the Edge brochure does not match the actual car color. I finally decided on a Dark Amethyst after seeing the color in the Edge brochure, but no-one had one. When they finally got one it, it looks almost black, not purple. As they had not blue ( i had a sonic blue Escape and Ranger before), i chose the only other normal color-redfire

I did get the headrest removed-inserted a small crochet hook into the hole and pulled the plastic plug out, then could see where to insert the paperclip?small item to push the release. Headrest looks kinda funky turned around, but, so what.

I too seem to be a repeat Ford Buyer. i had a 2002 Ranger, a 2003 Ranger, a 2005 Escape. Then in May 07 i purchased a 2007 Explorer Sport Trac. Love the thing. Then 2 weeks ago, i traded the Escape for my new Edge. Love that one too.

I had a rattle in the rear area, the spare tire hold down was loose.

My solution...Wal-Mart, in the table cloth area-a 60 x something rectangular table cloth in almost the same color as the interior. Only $11.97 plus tax. I keep it folded up under the back seat when not needed. Then just unfold, toss over everything in the back of the car.
