The guy that did it before (Viperpilot) stopped because people were sending PMs (Private Messages) instead of posting a thread. Can you imagine the number of emails he'd get if everyone looking for a status sent him a PM? He'd be getting hundreds a day. That said, it sucks that he was rude to you. There really is no need in the world to be nasty.

I haven't gotten my Edge yet... but it's getting closer! I'm in St Louis too! (Well really Chesterfield) but for those playing at home we'll say St. Louis Missouri. It was built 8/31, was sent offsite to the upfitter for the cargo package I ordered on 9/1. It was put on a train Friday last week and arrived at 3am this morning at the distribution center for Norfolk-Southern in Wentzville MO. I was able to track it once it was passed from CN (Canadian National Railways) to Norfolk-Southern by the railcar # that was given to me by cyberdman on the Blueovalforum. For those of you waiting anxiously as I am you can go to this link. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/forum/80-vehicle-locator-by-ford-employees/ Start a new thread with your VIN, ask nicely and cyberdman will give you an update if one is available. You must ask nicely... I've seen threads that he ignores if he thinks you are rude. He's doing it on his own time so be patient. My ETA still shows 9/13 but since it's already at the distribution center which is only 20 miles from my dealer I'm hoping to get it this week. :hyper:

I looked at the window sticker today. It still looks exactly like it did on 8/18 when I printed it the first time. Truely if you aren't nice about it he won't be nice back. Cyberdman told me my car was built last week 8/31 and was sent 9/1 to an offsite upfitter for the cargo package option that I ordered. Today he told me that it was in transit and gave me the rail car #. It started on CN (Canadian National Railways) then was passed to Norfolk-Southern. With the railcar # I was able to call into Norfolk-Southerns automated system and it told me it had gotten to Wentzville at 3:20. Like you said before it's been a long summer! I never would have thought May 13th when I ordered it that I would have a Sep 13 ETA.

Hi All! I am so ecited :happy feet: my car arrived by train at 3 this morning at the distribution center in Wentzville MO. Although the ETA says week of the 13th, the distibution center is only 20 miles from my dealer so I'm hoping to get it this week!

Once you get your VIN you can go to http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/forum/80-vehicle-locator-by-ford-employees/ There is a guy there that tracks on his own time because he's kind. So if you ask nicely he'll let you know what your cars status is. Once you get your VIN it usually takes 4 or 5 days before you can pull up your window sticker. At least that was my experience.

I was thinking it was just me that couldn't see all the other threads. The only way I can see them is if I'm reading a thread and at the bottom click next or previous topic. There are over 10 threads that don't show up! Shredder I'm happy they are fixing your pry bar. Sounds like they didn't want to fix it or didn't know how to fix it so they said it wasn't covered by the warranty! I hope you give Ford the benefit of the doubt. My Edge will be my 5th Ford. I've always been happy with my cars and my dealers service. Maybe you need to find a new dealer! Good luck and happy driving! I hope to be driving mine soon!

Hi The one I drove had the upgraded Sony sound system. The only knob that turned was the volume everything else was touch and it was awesome! You can tell they paid a lot of attention to the sound with speaker placement. I love when you turn the car on and all the dash displays come on! Awesome! I was told it would take 2 or 3 days to get to me in Missouri by rail so you should get yours really quick! As of this morning mine is awaiting a rail spot! :hyper:

All the ones I've seen and the one I drove have had the blind spot system. When I was looking through the manual I think it talked about having the little concave/convex mirrors on the side mirrors to help with the blind spot issue. I think there definitely are some blind spots... but it was hard to tell with the stickers on the windows.

Mine was "supposed" to be the first one my dealer got. Now they have 4 and mine is still not one of them. They still say it's the only one they've ordered and that all the ones that have come in are sent by Ford. Not sure I believe that but what can I do. My car was built and as of yesterday was at the ramp wait to be put on a train. It's getting closer!

I will definitely go take some pictures. It was raining today and the car was covered with all the protective stuff on the doors so it wouldn't have been a great picture. I ordered the Bordeaux Reserve red with sienna leather interior after seeing the colors online. I was hoping I would love it and I do! It's an awesome dark burgundy color and I'm sure it will be even better with the sun shining on it. Hopefully it will be sunny tomorrow and they'll have it all shined up and I'll get to take some pictures.

My dealer got 2 Edges in yesterday. A Tuxedo Black Limited and a Tuxedo Black SEL. So I went down there this morning to take the Limited for a spin. I almost passed out when I got there as they were unloading a Limited in Bordeaux Reserve Red Metallic. But it wasn't mine. I took the Black Limited for a spin. The ride was so smooth and quiet! They had just taken the My Ford Touch out of Transportation mode and it would recognize any voice commands. Hopefully thats an easy fix. I'm hoping to get mine soon! I can't wait! :hyper:

I'm hoping my car was built yesterday as scheduled. I did take a 2011 Edge Limited out for a spin today. When I was pulling into the dealers lot a car carrier was backing in to unload 2 more edges. One was even a Bordeaux Reserve Red Limited... but sadly wasn't mine. :angry: It was great to finally drive the 2011! The ride was so smooth and quiet. I played around with the My Ford Touch and while it will take some getting used to it was really cool. Now if they could just put my car on the fast train to Missouri I would really appreciate it. The wait is killing me! :hyper:

Almost all the "big" dealers in St Louis show at least one 2011 Edge on their online inventory (McMahon has 6) but none of them actually have one on their lot... believe me I've called! I'm dying to drive on even if it's not MINE!

Does anyone know how long it takes for a car to be built from start to rolling off the line? A day, 2, a week? Just curious.

Right now there's $1000 cash or 4.9% for 60 months. I'm hoping the incentives will get better next month.

I'm curious to know where you live. I'm in Missouri and my Edge is supposed to be built on the 31st with a delivery date of Sept 6th. I'm thinking it won't get here that fast.

I was hoping it would be invisable in the black trim of the door like the new Taurus. You wave your hand over it and it lights up. But all the pictures I've seen still has the key pad above the handle.

I just printed off my window sticker!!!!!!!!!! I can hardly stand it. Now it's starting to seem real... it's hard to believe I've never even driven this car! (Did drive the 2010) I'll let you know when I hear anything from the dealer on my delivery date.

I just checked again today with CRC and they said my car is scheduled to be built Aug 30 and has been assigned to a plant and that I could check back in a week and they should be able to tell me the mode of shipping and an estimated ship date. Wahoo!!!!! So then I thought I'd call my dealer to see what information they have. The dealer said they still show a TBD on my car and that they would try to find out more information. Crazy! I did ask the dealer if the they would be getting "stock" models before mine and he said no that mine was the first order. We'll see. I just can't wait to drive it! Thanks for the CRC information. I told the dealer I'd be patient when I ordered my 2011 Edge Limited on May 13th... but the two times over the last 3 months that I've called to check I felt like I was getting the run around. Last week I called the CRC and was told that my Edge hadn't been scheduled for production. I was furious. The very helpful lady at the CRC told me to check back this week. I am so happy to report that when I called the CRC today, Karen told me my Edge was scheduled 8/5 and she gave me my VIN number. My Edge Limited is scheduled to be built the week of 8/30. I'm hoping to get it the beginning of September. Thanks again for posting the CRC information and I hope that we all get our Edges soon!

Hi I've been reading your posts for weeks now... ever since I ordered my Edge. Can't wait to get it! I come from a family of proud FORD owners! One of my nephews middle name is Ford! Look forward to sharing the Edge love.
