  1. Kirby, having owned many imports and domestic vehicles, believe me Toyota's are FAR from perfect (BTW I know you're not serious) Sadly the comment about us lowering expectations is somewhat true, most societies has accepted the cheap inferior Chineese products due to cost. Probably Ford has the hardware / software manuafactured over there.
  2. Thank you for the positive views, I'm waiting on delivery and must admit have had concerns from comments I've read here.
  3. Hey D-Scource, I'm currently driving an Acadia with this feature (waiting for delivery of the Egde) I also live in Canada and ignore the schedule and change oil every 5000 kms, usually shows about 50%-60% Just me but I prefer the old way
  4. Thinguy, what are you saying man???? Its enough of a worry with my impending delivery which will likely have MFT issues and now you bring up the girlie thing That's it, I'm going to cancel my order
  5. Only strange option I'm guessing is the sienna seats. I saw on another board there were delivery issues with these. But as long as all the MFT problems are fixed before mine arrives I'll be happy. BTW I live in Calgary (some say its as exciting as the moon )
  6. Shameful, anyone would think I ordered a Bentley! After an 18 week wait this vehicle had better be worth it?
  7. Well judging by all the comments on here my vehicle will have the longest delivery of any. Ordered on October 25th and have just received the word from the dealer it is now at the end of February! By my calculation that is 18 weeks, can anyone beat that?
  8. I thought I would resurrect this post as I understand that Toyota ( of all companies) now recognizes this flaw and have installed all 2011's with automatic lights. Your right, where is the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety on this one
  9. Thanks everyone for the input. I now understand it went to the plant on Jan 21st, so does anyone have an estimate how long it would be before it arrived here in western Canada? I just can't understand why it has taken so long. October 21st (maybe 25th before ordered) which equates to 14 weeks and "still" counting. BTW its been difficult to secure an order number or VIN as this is leased through my company, they don't seem to give out that information too freely. I do have the dealer code though
  10. Can someone please estimate when I'll have mine? Just heard it was released to plant on January 21ST I've never known a vehicle to take this long, ordered on Oct 25TH...!!!! It is a Limited AWD with all options including sienna seats, the only option I didnt take was the rear DVD
  11. Does anyone know how long the vehicle is actually on the production "line" I always thought they built hundreds of these a week
  12. A MONTH........??? I'm on my twelve but have been informed its a week away. The more options the longer the waiit I'm told. Looking forward to the day.
  13. Maybe some truth in this, pointed out the new Edge to my daughter the other day and yes, its flashers were going as it drove down the road. I'll comment on this again when mine arrives in about two weeks
  14. I ordered on Oct 21st (maybe 25TH by the time dealer sent it in) and still waiting, I now have the VIN and the expected delivery is within 2 weeks 2011 Edge Limited, loaded Amazing how some are getting theres within six weeks, it'll be nearly 14 weeks for me...!!!
  15. Choff, what is the "bump"on the door handle? I'm waiting on delivery of a 2011 Limited with the optional remote start, will the "bump" you mention be included? Thanks
  16. Yep, I'm with you on this, ordered on Oct 21st and still no word...!!! Very few 2011's at any of the dealers in town and if they do have one its sold :stop:
  17. I ordered the Edge Limited on 21st October and still no word on when it will arrive. Its becoming very annoying and may well push me to buying another Acadia. Theres lots of 2011 I'm told...
  18. Has anyone noticed the amount of NEW vehicles driving around the city without tail lights, usually well after dark until the driver discovers his lack of insight and actually turns the switch? What I've noticed is that many of these vehicles have the dashboard all lit up like some kind of 80's disco and only the daytime running lights are on (In Canada) My little survey has concluded that this can not only be blamed on poor driving habits but also a design flaw. It seems that all European (well German anyway) GM and Ford products do NOT suffer with this safety issue. I assume they have automatic lights or require the lights to be turned on so they can see the gauges etc. Chrylser, Honda and Toyota products being the biggest offenders. Even the expensive Lexus and Accura have the same fault...??? PS: I'm waiting for my 2011 Edge to arrive that I know has the auto lights...!!!
  19. I still have my 2008 Acadia and waiting fior delivery of a new 2011 Edge Limited The Acadia shows pressures of each tire but as L1Tech suggests you have to reset each tire individually after rotation Hoping my new Edge will have this feature, it is very useful
  20. Hi EmDog, I'm sure these are for auxilary lights that are installed on the Limited and Sport models
  21. This is exactly how it operates on my existing vehicle (2008 Acadia) so I hope Ford has done its homework as this works so good PS: Waiting on a 2011 Edge Limited AWD since mid Oct
  22. I'm in the same boat, ordered on 21st October and now looking at early to mid January being the last estimate. I also understand there's a one week Christmas shutdown at the plant in Oakville which will have some impact on deliveries BTW my dealer told me that he won't be receiveing units for his inventory until March...!!!
  23. December 13TH and still no VIN...!!! is that usual after ordering this on 21ST October? Looks like a belated Christmas gift from Ford, possibly (hopefully) sorting out the MFT issues
  24. Really hope all this grief will be sorted when Limited AWD arrives...!!!
