It is a FAT32 drive format & it comes up art,song,album, in the folder. Hope this helps

Also all the files are 320kbps, they are 1 level away from a wave file, if you know about ripping music you will understand the lingo I'm talking about 1 last thing I should mention, I had nermourious problems with an alpine deck in my old car, it was a media deck so it had no cd in it & the problem I had was the usb 2.0 cable was too short & the cable extension I had running off of it could not read anything past 16gb whether it be a flash drive or portable hdd drive I found this out the day I was removing the deck because I sold the car the purchase my edge . it's something to think about for all the people having problems with some form of hard drive issue.

I have a adata 500gb portable HDD drive model # superior SH93 it works just fine not to mention it's shock proof & water proof & it's windows 7 compliant. I'm plugging it into my 2011 edge sel & it reads it very fast not to mention so far I have over 75gb of mp3 music files on it

It might be for the power trunk open & close on the limited edition, which is just 1 model up from yours or it could be for a rear view camera? I'll read this thread in a few days from now & see what other people come up with

Hey spongers I got my system done last week & it sounds amazing the only problem I'm haveing that my installer never noticed was my blu tooth & voice command are comming out of my sub woofer & not my door speakers, he installed the cache coe6, I'm hoping it's a defective unit, he ordered another 1 & should have it next week. I was wondering if you had this problem aswell?

Another place I put some was on the middle driver piller where the seatbelt sits when it's not buckeled. In my previous cars over the years I found these areas very prone to getting scratched. I also bought leather seatbuckle covers (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270667246085&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT) I ordered them just plain black whith no stiching in them & they flow very nice with the rest of my leather interior.

Hey spongers you can try these amps, they are zapco amps, check out he webiste @ zapco.com, I have a referance 360.4 & a 500.1 & they fit under my rear seats nice with still lots of room. I will be getting theseinstalled in a month or 2 once I get everything else I need for my install.

Spongers I was just speaking to my car audio guy & he told me if I install the MTX re-q5 you will need a code from ford for the deck, he told me that without his code the install will not work. If you get this to work for you I would love to hear how you did it. I have a 2011 sel model & I am looking to up grade all of my factory speakers. Also does anybody know if the sel model come twith the sub woofer wireing harness behind the trim panel. Also does anybody have a pic of the back panel of the 2011 sel nav model.

I think you guys went off topic when sombody asked the question about the factory LED DRL's, people went from oem to aftermarket & nobody really answered this guys question. Yes ford does offer the LED bars on their site but has anbody changed the factory oem Halogen bars to the LED bars ? Also If so are they just plug & play? I'm a nebie here so go easy lol , I'm also a former import owner & I am proud to say I own a ford 2011 fwd edge.

Does Anybody know if the wiring is available behind the rear right panel where the sub goes for the sub the plug into? also is there an option in the rear of the factory deck to add a sub ie. plug & play. Also I can't seem to find a factory sub woofer panel cover that I could replace the base model one. Iv'e seen the cover that comes with the sport model one with the vents in the panel, looks nice. I'm willing to spend the money on oem parts to try & make it look as stock as possible. Any part(s) # would be nice & thank you to all in advace. The Model I have is a 2011 fwd sel & I live in canada (If that makes a differance lol).
