  1. Went to dealer. As you said it was the caliper. Caliper slider actually and it was convered by warranty. :-)
  2. Went to dealer today. Looks like Im still covered under warranty. They will change the latch :-) ... next week they didnt have part in stock :-(

  4. Hi Guys, My rear driver's side brake has been seizing lately. Its happened twice so far over the past few weeks and both times it left a strong burnt rubber smell 1st time I thought the car was gonna catch fire hehehe. I took an appointment with the dealer for this Thurs June 12 but I was hoping you would have some advice on the matter before I went in? - Would this be a caliper problem or a "brake fluid hose" issue. I heard a pin-hole leak on the hose can cause the break to seize.. How can one tell the difference? - If its the caliper's, would that be covered under the warranty. I've read that the caliper slider is covered - I bought my edge in Aug 2011 (so under 36 months) and have 53.5K on it. - If I have to replace it, should I go with OEM or performance? Any suggestions on parts? Thanks for your help, Rob

  6. So... no clean up then. Cuz I heard in previous models the roof would jam and then would not close entirely. Due to gunk build up and forcing motors out of sync. Here is a video of a guy showing how to fix it when it jams Looking at the amount of work he did I thought Id avoid it by keeping my tracks cleaned.. BUT if no one has done this and everything is good then I wont mess with it. Don't want to stir things up when there is no need.
  7. Hello! I own a 2011 SEL AWD with Vista Sunroof. Bought it brand new and have had it for 2 years. Now Ive heard its important to take care and maintain the Sunroof. Mine is still working fine but when closing I can see and hear the motor forcing the last 6-7 inches. I was wondering if any of you had tips on maintenance, i.e. if and how I should clean, remove old grease and re-grease the tracks? Thanks RL
  8. Hi I'm up in Canada and I'm about (anxious) to switch back from steelies to mags. I want to do it myself but I had two questions: 1- TPS Sensor: Do these need to be reprogrammed or will the system simply recognize that they are back on now? 2- Torque wrench My buddy has all the tools required, including a torque wrench which he says is required to secure the mags back in place. Is this true? and if so... does anyone know what the presure needs to be (he claims 50 lbs). Thanks

  11. Has anyone tried/heard of Cooper Artic Claw or Cooper WSC. I found the Artic Claw for a low price 172.50$ tax in. However the guy only has them in 235/65/18. Is it ok to go narrower Will it impact the drive in any way? Lastly, Im not planning on purchasing the tire sensors for the winter steel wheels. Does this impact any of the electronics of the car or will it be fine.
