  1. All right then, what exactly do you want the picture of? They will censor me in the yard wiping, I can't take a picture of my breath, you want to see my lumber wagon???? I lied, I don't have one, I have a small Green Plastic Wagon for yard work that I pull with my Polaris. However I did save a ton of Money by staying with State Farm. How is the Memphis Weather. Last year at this time I was setting on my Deck watching the world pass and drinking a Cold Bud in Shorts and a Harley Tee Shirt.
  2. I like mine just the way it is. I rarely use low. Sorry I can't help either. I do wish there was lumbar suport on the Passenger side. My daughter has a Malibu and I must agree, that Chevrolet is not what it once was. At least not in my Opinion.
  3. I've done similar tunes on F150's. I've had a Dynamax Cat back, Flowmaster 40 series twice, and 1) Magnaflow. All four trucks had FIPK's from K&N. One had a Diablo Chip and it definitely Blew. That was in their early days, maybe they are better now, if they are even in Business. I had Hypertech on the next three and liked them real well But I knew the man that did the tuning at Hypertech and while living in Memphis we changed all kinds of Stuff and it ran real good. I find it very hard, for myself anyway, to feel 25 HP when it was, say 250HP, to start with. Now on a Dyno you can tell for sure what you are getting. This man, Fred says he has a Dyno and I trust that he knows what he is talking about. There is a warning on the Box or in the manual of most of these devices about taking them to a dealer without switching back to the factory settings. Unless it is a repair that doesn't entail hooking into the OBD port. Yes the dealer can tell if he plugs into the OBD. It will show them any change that is out of factory design spec. However most of these devices simply change Shift points, adjust for Tire Dia, change Rev Limiter and top end shut down. Pretty basic stuff. Now what Fred is talking about is much different than I have experienced and am willing to give his a try. Now on Diesels you can make significant changes, I have never had one but friends of mine do and that difference is dramatic. I can say that my Edge is pretty impressive to this old fart just the way it is, but I love to tinker so will be doing some mods soon, well as soon as I pay off Christmas anyway.
  4. Now that was a good post. It doesn't get any better than that. Thanks bbf2530!!!
  5. Good Night! 400HP. My Edge has plenty of power, and I make sure I'm headed where I want it to go when I stab the Pedal. Mine is Front wheel drive and will Dart across the Highway if you aren't hanging on real tight. If I had 400 HP all I would get is tickets. I wonder when someone will cram a Lightning Engine in an Edge?
  6. I have the Ford Edge factory Mats as well and I have the Cargo Mat Also. I like them, However they don't cover as well as Weathertech Mats. I say that but I have never had Weathertech in my Edge. I have owned them in other vehicles and I liked them. I must agree that My preference is Rubber and Not vinyl. I sell Asphalt Plant Equipment and have dirty feet all the time. The light Gray Weathertech I had in the Escape were always Dingy! Tried to clean them with WD40, It removed the asphalt but it was still stained. My interior is Black so the Black Mats work good for me. I am not sure I would want black on Tan, but thats only my opinion.
  7. Yeah I have the same problem. At empty mine usually shuts off at around 15-16 gals. I can stand there and get up to 19+ in it most of the time. I run the Edge to the ragged Edge on gas. I coast into gas stations. Gives me a feeling of Survival. I wonder how deep it really goes, when the Low Fuel Message comes on I hit reset and it usually reads 51 miles to empty. I'll push reset a few more times to see where I am at. I have actually seen it read, Buy Fuel Now You Idiot or Walk!!
  8. MKX a hair dryer will work. I have a Blue Point Heat Gun with two settings and the low one is about like my wife's Hair Dryer. The high setting may melt the Fabric. The Fabric sisters are pretty prominent in that Fabric. You know, Poly and Ester. Those stickers are tough, I pulled mine off on that 01 Harley truck and you could always see where it had been. Lawyers I am certain are the reason they are there in the first place.
  9. Good Hands I am afraid I don't understand TTIWOP. What do it be?
  10. Thanks for the info to all of you. Or should I say both of you. MKX that wiring harness has several jumper wires on it. The harness does get in the way and how I found it was the Fuse Block Door kept popping open so I investigated and found all these wires with 3M add on clamps and wires going to something. My main concern isn't very valid, because all the options on the Vehicle, are on the Window Sticker, so Nothing was obviously added by a Dealer or such. I just have never seen Ford use this type of wiring. Normally it is in a loom and nicely tucked in somewhere. It just may be that in Final Inspection some things weren't working and they bypassed the problem with these add ons. No that can't be the case, they would have put a new Harness on, if that had happened. Shit I don't know why, and I guess it doesn't matter, because everything is working alright. I am not of the opinion that this type of wiring lasts well. I would bet that at some point in this vehicles life an electrical problem will come up from this. Anyway I am rambling! And by the way don't let that Jerk get your dander up, you contribute way to many good things to this board to leave!!! F'em, there are several that post just to be typing. If you do leave then make certain I get your e-mail address so I can stay in touch. I'll send mine to you in a personal Message. Thanks for the response. SRE
  11. I travel every week, I have three states to cover. I have no issues with my seats at all. But then again I just got out of an Escape and that thing beat hell out of me, so even a lumber wagon would feel good at this point. The escape was a wonderful vehicle for every use I had except traveling like I do. Oh yeah and I do have a Lumber wagon, I use it on weekends, I live approximately three axle greaseings from town, and those wheels are made of wood. I live so far out in the woods my breath smells like cord wood, and I have eaten so many Rabbits I drag my own Butt to clean it.
  12. My brother in law works for Michelin and has for 27 years now. He always says tire inflation should be strictly followed by what the manufacturer states on the door jamb. I have used this method for many many years and have yet to have a problem. Maybe I am just lucky. I rotate my Tires every other oil change and I change my oil every 3000 miles even with Full Synthetic.
  13. I can't figure out how to send you a message without posting on the board so please forgive my Hillbilly ignorance. But please check my thread on Jumper wires by the dead pedal I need your opinion.
  14. I travel every week and always get around 23-24.9 avg and I drive the legal limit plus 5 mph. I usually pedal mine but sometimes I use the cruise control. I never have checked town driving because I live out in the woods and everything I do is on some major road. Well not everything I do! sometimes I mow the yard. SRE
  15. The dealer thinks they have pinpointed the problem I am having with an oil leak coming from somewhere around the oil filter. They have ordered the Oil Filter mount along with gaskets o rings etc. Mine has the Tow Package so there is an Auxiliary oil cooler involved. I am currently driving my vehicle waiting on Parts to arrive. This issue may have been going on since brand new. I always check my oil but rarely crawl under it to inspect for leaks. I notice some oil on the garage floor and that is when I found it. My Edge is FWD so I don't have a transfer case issue. I hope this fixes my Edge. Happy Holidays
  16. I put this out here and got no response. I would like your opinion, this really concerns me. I can take a picture if it would help. These wires look like 3M connectors that you would clamp on a wire then plug in the wire going to what you would be powering, etc. I would think factory options would have a better harness than this. Happy Holidays and thanks in Advance for your help. SRE I noticed several wires connected by Clamp on connectors and plugs. There are several wires located behind the removable panel right next to the Left Foot rest. This reminds me of when you add something, like a Hard Wired Radar detector, or a hands free phone system. I may not be describing this well, however some will understand. I have never known Ford to wire something in a vehicle with add on wires. There is nothing added to my vehicle, Just the factory options. Anyone else noticed this? Thanks SRE
  17. Woe is me. This was a little more than a Bad Oil Filter. I am traveling and noticed the Filter leaking again. The Dealer I bought it from checked it out and found the O Ring on the Oil Cooler is the culprit. Parts are ordered and should be fixed Monday, provided that they get the parts. I am glad they found it and can only hope this is really what is leaking. It isn't bad just not supposed to happen. I am certainly glad I don't need a new engine. At least, at this point, I don't anyway. Any of you guys noticed an Oil leak? Mine has the towing Package so I have the Auxiliary Oil Cooler and that is where the oil is leaking from. SRE
  18. What's all the fuss about. We just had an Ice Storm and many trees broke and fell. I have plenty of Fire wood and plenty of left over wood so I can Whittle me out some new wheels next spring. You know just in case my Chrome Clad ones rust or sumpin. Do aluminum with chrome Clad Covers rust, do they perform poorly, do they look bad, do they balance, is it really a detriment to the vehicle? I didn't think so. Are they really Plastic or Aluminum covers? I have a Hub Cover off of a Model A or possibly a T and it is Brass. I found it last year when I mowed the yard, it was attached to a Vehicle I did not know I had out back. Don't rightly know what to do wit that there vehicle but that Brass Hub Cover makes a mighty fine paper weight. Good Hands, and I are going fishing this spring up there in them Hills. Hey MKX you wanna go wiff us?
  19. Ginny at Price Gnade Ford here in Moscow Mills took my Edge and had it checked out. Turned out to be just a couple of bad Oil Filters. Seems okay now. SRE
  20. I noticed a small puddle of oil on my garage floor and inspected the bottom of my new Edge and found the oil filter had a drip on it. I needed an Oil change and had that service performed at my local dealer. I talked to the tech and he said it was probably just the oil filter. I returned home and the new one is doing the same thing. I will return today for further assistance. I am going to Crap if they want to replace my Engine! I have had 9 Fords and the Edge is the 10th. I have never had a problem with any of them other than minor stuff. I hate to hear about this. SRE
  21. Whoa hold the train there big un. I didn't buy this Foreign made mistake, he did. I know Ford Trucks are the toughest and have many records from a fleet of Fords and Dodges to prove their maint was less over years of service. I wasn't asking for sympathy! I was just stating a fact. Toyota's claims don't hold water.
  22. MKX I like that idea.........I am already calling Bill Greer Ford to get a quote on an 08 edge limited and give the kid mine. His decision to buy that Toyota was all his. I could say, I told you so but that is simply rude. He already knows he made a mistake. This Edge is getting the sync feature and the Tailgate Lift. And of course I want Blazing Copper Metallic again. I hope they offer that Color still. Thanks MKX you read my mind. I wish i still had that Harley Edition F150. I've traded all four of those F150's off long ago. I'm down to 1 07 Edge and two Harley's. That Toyota sets in the street, I don't want it in my driveway. SRE
  23. That Red Ferrari looks like a Transformer. What does it turn into Luigi?
  24. My son has a 2000 Toyota Tacoma SR5 with a Toyota Racing Development installed Supercharger on it. I came from Anaheim CA where I guess the TRD Factory/workshop is. The tranny doesn't want to engage when you put it in drive. Reverse is fine but Drive causes a Flare condition. I drove it myself and could not help but notice what a TeRD it really is. Very tin like look and feel, not at all powerful, thin doors, NOISY as heck and a Tranny Problem at 70K. My son is very much like me, he follows the Maint Schedule to the TEE and takes excellent care of his Automobiles. I must say I am shocked that the Toughest Built Truck in the World has a Failure, and has an excellent Maint Record. I guess Toyota Isn't That Great After All!!!! I have put well into the 200,000 mile range on all my F150's and never had any major issue with any of them. Well I guess Old Dad gets a Toyota Repair Bill for Christmas. Thanks Toyota, and Merry Christmas to you also!!!
  25. Whipped??? You bet ya, I also have Selective Hearing!! And the whine in the Edge helps also. SRE
