My husband bought it for me for Christmas and it was primered but my dad painted it (he's a professional body guy) tuxedo black to match my tuxedo black 2011 Ford Edge Limited. Does anyone else have problems with SYNC shuffling their music? When i plug my ipod touch or iphone into my car, the first song or 2 is actually shuffled and random but then it starts going in alphabetical song order. And when i try and turn shuffle off, it doesn't turn off, it stays on... Is there a cure to this? I have learned that Ford SYNC doesn't love my Apple products but is there a way to actually get the music to shuffle? thanks

so i bought my car in November and was almost immediately having problems with MFT (freezing frequently, black screen, disconnecting from my iPhone...) I called the dealer and they told me the update was going to roll out "soon".... well, 4 months later and i received my USB stick and SD card in the mail and upgraded! I wasn't having any weird problems like before until i was sitting in my car for about a half hour listening to my iPhone via USB cable and the car turned off (you know, so ya don't kill the battery, not like i've EVER done that...) and then when i turned the ignition on, my car wouldn't reconnect to my iPhone... it was counting thru the song like it was playing but it wasn't... I tried thru the USB connection and Bluetooth. so i officially disconnected the iphone and then repaired it and it didn't work... so i gave up. and then the next day when i got in my car, it worked again. does anyone know what the heck happened? does MFT hate the iphone?! well, i'm not getting a new phone anytime soon so i hope this is just a random glitch that MFT hates apple but i'm hoping someone has the answer to this? or anymore insight... thanks

Hey guys! i'm glad i found this post! i've been having the SAME problems! I called my local Ford dealer today and they think they know the problem! The Valve Body Plate needs to be replaced. The guy i spoke to replaced one last week on an MKX and did a few Edge's recently. He said theres a service board(?) out reguarding this faulty plate but it's not officially a recall. Something about the updated Edge's (and MKX's) not getting the updated part when the car was redesigned for 2011. Although he hasn't looked at my car, he said the symptoms are the same and the MKX he fixed last week ran waaaay better after they fixed it last week. Anyway, i'm taking my Edge in Friday to get fixed so we'll see what happens. Hopefully this helps your guys' problem too

does anyone know if i can get just the 3 pieces changed? i've found a bunch of links for entire 20-something piece sets but i like the rest of the interior. just those 3 pieces that are out of place...

thanks guys! yeah, the wood seems so random and out of place considering there isn't any other wood in the whole thing! oh well. i'll fix it at least its dark and subtle but it still has to go!

I didn't notice right off the bat but my new edge has a few wood panels in it...3 to be exact. Is this a mistake? The rest of the panels are the "piano black" i think they call it but the small panels on either side of the steering wheel and the one above the glove box are dark wood panel... I want to change it, but to go flat black or more piano black? i was just wondering if anyone else has the sparse wood paneling? Also, while shopping for the replacement panels, i don't see the trio of panels that i need which leads me to believe this was not intentional or maybe some sort of coverup? Hey guys, I've had my Edge for about a month now and while i was in at the dealership signing all my paperwork, they "cleaned" up the car. over the next day or so there is quite a bit of white on the inside and outside from what i'm guessing is some fancy dealership cleaning product.... what should i use to clean it off? i'm presuming the panels are plastic but they have a rubber kind of feeling and i dont wanna put the wrong thing on it... thanks 2011 Ford Edge Limited Tuxedo BLACK BLACK leather interior <3 <3 <3

meh, not too excited about the new escape. i was originally looking at a 2010 or 11 escape because it was about the same size as my rav4 but ultimately, the edge is much more comfortable. i love how "fat" it feels, the escape felt too skinny & claustrophobic. I did like the rav4 but i got a good price on my edge and i'm more than happy with it

Sold my 2007 Rav4 Sport and drove 6 hours EACH WAY on Saturday to pick up my new baby! 2011 Ford Edge Limited V6 AWD! Black metallic with black leather! Honestly, the biggest reason i got rid of my Rav4 was because it was white and too "old man." I set out to find something younger, cooler & fully loaded. I find it!!!! I dont think i'm gonna make any major changes for awhile. Probably add some chrome window inserts (mostly to hide a small dent that came on the car) and maybe some chrome/polished stainless fender flares/wheel well lips just to add a little more chrome and protect the paint around the wheel wells... I'm excited to see what other people have done with their edges
