  1. I'm Canadian, and when I called my local dealer with the part numbers, they basically are clueless. I think I'm better off ordering one from a US dealer and driving the hour to the states to pick it up and install myself
  2. Okay thanks for the confirmation, I guess I was under the impression that AA did not require a USB connection but CP did, which is why the hub replacement was so important. That being said, the OG hub did work for AA Now if only I could figure out how to update maps from NA1 14...
  3. Update worked fine for me on my 2016 Ford Edge Sport. I did find it odd that my Nexus 5 that I'm using to test requires Android Auto to be connected via USB for it to detect, I thought it worked over BT. Maybe because I also have an iPhone paired? Not sure. My primary device is currently an iPhone but depending on the interface I may switch back to a Pixel, however it would be nice to know why I need to have it plugged in to work. Has anyone been able to get it working on their edge without being plugged in with version 2.2?
  4. Thank you Luxpow & Joy for the clarification. I'm happy to hear that Connect isn't required (I wasn't sure due to the 'mobile features') and I would only use it for the auto start (which I don't have any issues on the remote start). I am looking forward to hearing more details about Apple Carplay integrations over the summer. I hope this is also available to Canada as well!
  5. I'll be curious if it requires the Sync Connect system (which looks like it may or may not be an option on the '16 Edges), or if it's a 30$ USB add-on. Seeing that Android Auto is moving more towards wireless connectivity, it will be interesting if this is just a 'stop gap' until Carplay can also run over wireless as well. I'm hoping more details are released soon! Also hoping we can get a word on updated Maps as well, they are seriously out of date...
  6. Not a bad idea, I think I'll do just this today. I don't recall the first Sport I test drove with this issue.
  7. Did you find after having your Edge for some time that it got better? Worse? About the same?
  8. 2016 Sport Model - Same issue. Cracking/rattle since day 1. Tomorrow will be 3rd day of looking at it. I had this same issue on my old Edge. Took 3 service visits to finally address it, so hopefully tomorrow it will be resolved.
  9. Hi folks, I'm about 1000km (600 miles) into my new 2016 Sport, and the one thing I have noticed, is that the seats just aren't very comfortable for the driver. I've tried adjusting lumbar tension in the back, raising the seat up and down, and the sides of my ass still hurt after a long period of driving. The way the seats are bucketed, it appears to really push up against your butt. Now, I'm not a big guy (200 lbs, 6 feet tall), so I find it a bit strange that I'm having difficulty fitting into the seats properly. Has anyone else noticed this? And if you have, does it work itself out after awhile (building your ass groove, so to speak). Thoughts?
  10. Hello all, I used to frequent these forums back in the day when I was looking at a Edge. This has always been a site of great resources, and can say helped me decide that I wanted to look at another one! So I traded in my 2011 Ford Edge Limited for a 2016 Ford Edge Sport. I look forward to reading your posts, and contributing when I can!
  11. Very interesting. I'm going to give this a try as well, I found the option but said I was unsubscribed to everything but Radio. So far with my initial 10 minute drive from the dealership to work, it seems pretty snappy. Phone paired up without issue, and navigation maps look MUCH better. Still a bit 'miffed' about the home screen layout, but it just means I'll be in one of the corner windows instead of my default 'home wallpaper screen' I was quite happy to see that at least the signal strength was available on the phone menu when in other menus, and at least sirius channel names/song name were scrolling on the bottom, but when you're in the home screen, it will just say Entertainment I believe. I'm sure the issues are cosmetic right now, and we can get things back like the outside temp and phone battery life, etc back. Edit: Just on hold with Sirus now, I noticed Option 5 was to cancel, so I'm guessing this is some sort of retentions department. I'm trying Option 4 which is to ask question about an existing radio, and will see how 'knowledgable' they are on adding Travel Link. Edit #2 - So the fella I talked to on Option 4, mentioned that Travel Link was not available in Canada, and they can not enable it. Going to try Option 5 Edit #3 - Not much luck with Option 5 as well, but I did get someone from NS. It appears that they enable this for the '6 month Trial' that they give you, and since I moved my ESN to my already established account, I lost the access to the Travel Link options. I also asked them about what sort of deal I can get to keep my two radios, they offered it to me for $179 a year for two radios, which works out to $15 a month. I think I can do better though
  12. I called my dealership in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and they now have them in stock. They would NOT release just the map card for me though, said they would lose their license or something  So I scheduled a dealer install for Monday AM.
  13. Anyone from Canada happen to call the number yet, or hear back from a dealer?
  14. Would love to hear from anyone that was brave enough to download the file and try it themselves
  15. Same. Thinking I may call my dealer as my Edge is only 2 weeks old and see if they've received any of the upgrade packages yet.
