  1. If it is September delivery the order books should open up in June
  2. Called my salesman yesterday to find out and he hasnt called me back yet. Has a ford set a date we can start ordering?
  3. Does the Hyundai product feel substantial or creaky? How is the road noise? This has been a very serious problem in the past for them. What about the quality of the materials inside? This has been a problem for them as well, interiors didn't hold up. I am also looking at the 2017 gmc acadia. Because it has 42 cu ft. In the cargo area.
  4. Looked at an edge last night cargo area looks longer than the SRXs so it should be fine. Not to mention 10 cu ft more space.
  5. Thanks for posting this. Very much appreciated. Does this car have 12s in it? Larger inter cooler? How long is the tranny gonna last?
  6. And btw I had a rwd 2004 Srx that did this. Cadillac eventually issued a tsb which raised the mph of the lock up point of the torque converter. Completely different tranny though.
  7. This seems odd.,sounds like tq converter locking and unlocking. For comparison our 2014 Srx which has the same transmission as the edge will hold 6th ger even on hills. But the Nissans I have driven with cvts are terrible in this regard lots of chuggling its not even nice to drive between 35-45 mph. I would push this with ford big time. It's gonna wear the transmission out early,.
  8. We will be coming out a 2014 Srx lease soon. Srx has 29 cubic feet behind the 2nd row. Gen 2 Edge. Has 39 cubic feet , gen 1 had 32. In the Srx I have to put the handle over the second row to get the lawnmower to fit. Very awkward and handles are rubbing on the seat back. Also have a second baby on the way. Would say the gen 2s 7 cubic feet more is a noticeable difference when traveling with a family of four?(we have rented several gen 1s, which we liked) Is the 2nd row on sliders that can be moved fwd to increase rear cargo area? The SRXs is not. But I gotta think going from 29 cubic feet we have now to 39 has got to be significant.
  9. Typically if a part is working well with almost no issues they wll look to engineer cost out. Look at the plastic intake on the 3800 GM v6 engines. It was a disaster. If there are issues then they will look to make the part better, which generally costs more.
  10. The 6 speed transaxle that ford shares with GM on their front engine based vehicles has a tq rating of 370 lb ft. So that it is why the 3.5L ecoboost in the Taurus sho, flex and explorer sport has that rating even though it is 420 tq in the trucks. Also why the 3.6l twin turbo in the caddy xts is down rated to 370 tq vs. the Cts V sports 430 lb ft. The 369 tq of the 2.7 L is going to make the edge flat go. From idle to 1500 rpms there won't be much there, but hold the heck on after that. Especially when you consider that the edge is going to weigh in the low 4000 lb range. Car should be a fun driver. And I'm going to predict a 0-60 time of 5.9 secs. Maybe even a few tenths less.
  11. At this rate maybe ford should've called it a 2016.
  12. I saw on cadillacforums.com that a shop was doing a TVS1320 supercharger on an srx for a dealership that was going to market them. Just need someone to figure out an intake, accessories and a tune for the 3.7L.
  13. This shouldn't be happening with a modern car. They Ll went to galvanized sheet metal in the '80s. Ow can a two year old car have rust?
  14. Looks fantastic! Does American racing sell those wheels in a painted version?
