I heard that new cars have a system of auto shut vehicle when they overheat. anyone personally experienced if Edge 07 have the same ? recently I had a heating problem, the needle went to 3 quarter but the engine was still running.

Just for the info. Yesterday I went to carwash, when the car got cleaned, I parked in office. When I started again to go home, the light was gone. TPMS seems to be OK .....

Well, I guess one of the sensor (TPMS) has gone bad. does anyone knows how to check "WHICH ONE" ? and what is the Part Number and its cost ????

I did that, I drove about 10km since the light suddenly turned ON. and another 10km in the afternoon, while going on lunch, then again 10km going back office. but nothing happened.... I was wondering if one of the tire has small leakage and that could be the reason ?????

Today, Since morning, I got the indication of Low Tire Pressure. I checked all the tires, 1 of them was a little less, filled it up. nothing happened, the WARNING is still there. how to get rid of it ?

I had the same problem for the tail lights, replaced the sockets & bulbs, Im sure this will happen again some day, so im just waiting for the light to go OFF, then again I will replace them I think they used poor plastic for the sockets, it cannot take the heat of electricity.... and I dont think FORD is focusing on this issue,

Thanks for the reply guys, actually I thought the same. BUT...... a] How do I know it is enable of disable ? b] When we switch on the AC, is it default (Enable or Disable) ? c] When I enable it (I guess) it should move both side temp. together, that what I understand, but it is not doing it. is there something wrong ? d] If YES, then how to fix it ???? The ONLY thing I get by pressing the DUAL button is that it shows both sides temp. on the display.... appreciate your assistance.... thanks

Guys, I want to know the exact WORK of the button "DUAL" in A/C. I cannot understand from manual. When I press it, it just shows both (Driver & Passenger) side temperature.

Guys, I wanna add my experience of the same problem. I live in Saudia where we have 2 type of fuel. 91 Octane & 95 Octane. I had these kind of jerks/missing while I was using 91 Octane Fuel. then from a friend's recommendation I switched to 95 Octane fuel and the problem was solved. But since 95 Octane fuel is expansive, I wanted to return to 91 Octane without having the same problem back, what I did is went to agency and ask them to clean the engine with some "flush" system.... (what they do with some pressure machine). then I returned back to 91 Octane fuel and until now the car is working fine...

I have a "Q" Can I swap my Ford Edge 2007 tail lights to 2011/12 ??? is it just swapping the light or it needs some electrical adjustment (as mentioned above) ? thx

I am having the same problem, the socket as well as the plastic base of the bulb is melted. it was hard to take out the bulb to replace it. but I did it anyways. now i am looking for the socket to change and found a part number 13411B about 11$-15$ ea. use a normal double filament bulb (it will also melt, i dont know why). -

if AWD is always ON, then the car should consume more gasoline than normal. BUT my car doesnt shows abnormal usage of gas. .... any other point?

I put "Fuel injector cleaner" twice which reduced the missing, so I think it is a problem of fuel injector, will need to clean it more.

I have Edge 2007 SEL AWD. The manual says: AWD will be active automatically sensing the surface. What I need to know is: how can I find that AWD is ON or OFF while I am driving. (regardless of surface). there is no light on dashboard, no button, nothing at all. any clue ?????

My SEL AWD has almost everything. 6 CD/MP3 player (4 speakers) Memory seats (2) Rear Sensors (installed myself) Vista Panoramic Roof it Does not have:- Microsoft Sync 9 and/or 12 way speakers Auto Lift-gate 18" and/or 20" wheels

thanks for your reply, BUT, as I said above, changing the gas type worked but not 100%. it reduced the miss-up a lot about 70%.

Engine doing some missing when:- the car is in final gear and rpm on 1-1.5 and I accelerate slowly to increase the speed. Mech. checked the spark-plugs, cables and computer, everything is ok, then he told me to put fuel 95oct. instead of 91Oct. I did that, which reduced the missing but did not finished at all. Any bright ideas ???

Edge 2007 SEL AWD 95 Octane fuel about 60 Liters (full tank) runs about 380 km until it shows 10 km remaining fuel. all time AC is ON. (im in Saudi Arabia, so u can imagine the heat) is this OK ?

thanks frozennuts, I have tried all the options mentioned in the manual. but nothing worked. press SET then 1 (the setting is memorized) BUT, no it seems not to be working. when I move seat or mirrors and press 1 to recall it doest work. see, this is the problem im having, I also tried to configure it with the remote-key, but with the key it is recalling some one else's setting which i cannot remove.
