  1. One bad thing about the automatic trunk release is when you're in a manual car wash (using the wand). If you have the fob in your pocket , the lights flash as you walk around the car, and the trunk easily opens by itself. Have to leave the fob in the car.
  2. Follow up to the loose dashboard trim - took it to the dealer yesterday. Clips holding the trip in place has somehow spread a bit. The bent them back into position and snapped the trim back in. It's holding it fir now, but the only thing that I can think if that would have caused them to deform to begin with is the sunbeating on the dash. Will see if the fix holds.
  3. Local gas station sells non-ethanol premium grade gas (lower grades have ethanol). Starting using that in all of my gas engine tools a few years ago. Ethanol can really be an engine killer.
  4. I tried pushing it back in all along the edge; it's plastic, but nothing appears to be trying to snap into place. It may be that a plastic piece underneath broke off. I don't think there's adhesive under it. It's almost as though the heat from the sun has deformed it. I'll swing by the dealer this morning. Only noticed it yesterday.
  5. Can't figure out how to attach a picture (on an Iphone).
  6. 2016 Edge AWD Titanium - built/delivered in 2/2016. Just noticed the dashboard lining where the windshield meets the dashboard is lifting up (apparently coming unglued). Right behind where that flip up storage space is.
  7. 2016 AWD Edge Titanium - only real complaint is the navigation screen. The roads and background colors are both light, which makes it hard to pick out the rosds easily. I have two other Fords with nav systems, and they have much better color contrast.
  8. Got a 2016 AWD Edge Titanium with studded Blizzaks in Feb 2016 for my son. Ended up with very little snow since I got it, but it really stuck to the road well when we did get some. Wife has a 2013 AWD Taurus with non-studded Blizzaks; also does real well in the snow even though it doesn't seem to have much clearance. My own vehicle is a 2011 F350 with studded Cooper M&S tires; the AWD cars are much more stable to drive than the truck (much diffrrent vehicle though, of course).
  9. There was a report on the national news a month or so ago about push button start cars and how people would park their car in their garage and forget to turn the car off (distracted by being on the phone or something). A couple of close calls due to carbon monoxide then building up. That's the readon for the horn honk. If you leave the door open, it won't honk. My 2016 Edge shuts off after running in park for 30 minutes.
  10. Just added my original post over there under "stories"; we'll see what happens. Thanks.
  11. Thanks - I've tried everything, including night mode, but it doesn't really change it. Plus, night mode changed everything in the dcreen, if I recall - not just the map. The basic problem is that Ford is using light colors for both the roads and the background, so it's very hard to distinguish between them (for me, at least). The car was built in 2/2016, so it should have the latest Sync on it
  12. Have a 2016 Edge Titanium with the Sync/Nav system. The navigation screen colors show the roads in light white color, and the surrounding land in light blue. It is very difficult to pick out the roads due to the colors being so light. I have two other Fords with navi systems (2011 and 2013) that use different colors, and are much easier to see. Is there any way to adjust the scrern colors? The only screen adjustment I see is "contrast", which does nothing for this issue. Thanks.
  13. Thanks for the reply. Yes - it's the 3.5 engine. I ordered it from the factory; was built a few weeks ago and delivered to the dealer last week, so it hasn't sat on the lot. I've put another 50 miles on it and it hadn't hsppened again. I notified the dealer right away and will be taking it in. Based on what I've read, I don't expect them to find a solution, but at least I'll have it documented.
